The wind whipped ’round

My lonely soul,

Happiness a thought I knew no more,

The weight of the world dragging me down,

Until in the ditch I was found.

Yet, in my lowest hour,

When I thought I was alone,

There was a single person,

Who gave me a spark of hope.

He reached out my hand to pull me up,

And I was surrounded by brilliant light.

He looked me in the eye,

And said five words.

“I love you, my child,” He said.

I knew at that moment,

That I had been found.

Pain, I knew no more.
